Objective： To observe the location of paired immunoglobulin-like receptor B(PirB)in retina and evaluate the expressive varieties of PirB in retina of mice after optic nerve injury.
Method: In situ hybridization(ISH)was used to observe the location of PirB mRNA in retina of mice.Western blot was used to analyze the levels of PirB protein in retina 7 days after optic nerve crush.
Results:Expression of PirB locates in retinal ganglion cells of mice.The level of PirB protein increase significantly in retina after optic nerve crush than that in control group.
Conclusion:PirB is of important role in inhibition of axonal regeneration after optic nerve injury.Inhibition of PirB expression may enhance axonal regeneration after optic nerve trauma.
